The district conference this year was held at Isleta Casino/Hotel, April 7-9.
The first in-person conference in two years was held here in Albuquerque. Representing Metro were Vicki Reisenbach, Jennifer Dresser, Kit Cody and Ginger Ravenbark. The first day was a golf tournament. Then for next two days it was speakers, awards, panel discussions, youth programs and ending with a gala. Plus, there was plenty of getting to know or reacquainted with members of other clubs and seeing poster displays of what they have been doing the past two years. Many clubs donated wine to raise money for Ending Polio Fund, $1,700 + was raised. The Gala was a Red Carpet theme and Rotary Youth Exchange students put on a talent show. A Memorial Service was held as well as an All Club Luncheon which included members of clubs not there for the rest of the conference.
A lot of good ideas for fundraising and increasing club memberships were shared. Metro Rotary won award for Small Club, 'Expanding Our Reach' for increasing our size.
